The Resource Organizations page provides policymakers, activists, and the general public with a list of well-respected regional and national advocacy organizations and think tanks. The list includes contact information for each organization and can be sorted by policy area and state. Policymakers and activists are encouraged to discuss with local and national advocates about what version of a law, if any, would be most beneficial and politically viable in their state.
The Resource Organization table can be filtered by state focus and policy area. To find an organization in your community, select your state from the drop down menu at the top of the State Focus column. You can further filter your search by choosing a specific policy area from the drop down menu at the top of the Policy Area column. If you are interested in national organizations in a specific policy area, select the policy area from the drop down menu at the top of the Policy Area column and select “National” from the drop down menu at the top of the State Focus column. You can also sort each column in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order by clicking on the name of the column.
